Version:
Durable workspaces were introduced in Domino v4.4. The messaging noted in this article was added as of Domino 5.2.
Issue:
If a new git repository is added to a project, an existing durable workspace will not use that repository. A new durable workspace must be created to use the newly added GIT repository.
Root Cause:
Reproducibility is at the heart of the durable workspace. Adding a new GIT repo to an existing workspace is antithetical to the concept of reproducibility. This also includes new GIT commits for which a new workspace will need to be created.
Resolution:
If you need to add a new GIT repository to a project, start a new workspace. As of Domino v5.2 you will see the following messaging when you add the new repository as below:
