Some users have seen an error similar to the following when attempting to launch a workspace that appears to be running:
Causes and Common Solutions
We have seen this issue in multiple environments, and usually it appears when the workspace the user is attempting to launch is no longer *actually* running, but still shows as "running" in the UI (this may be a false indicator). The typical cause is stale cached information in the local web browser.
To solve it:
Typically, the issue can be solved by going into your browser settings, locating the cached content for the Domino instance (identified by server + domain name), and clearing all of it.
Your browser should allow you to clear data for a specific Domino instance. For example, Chrome allows you to go to Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Cookies and Site Data > View permissions and data stored across sites.
From there, you can search for the Domino instance by name.
Then, to clear the data, hit the "Clear data" button.
See the "Clear data" button above.
Next, log out of Domino, and log back in.
You may notice the same Workspace no longer appears to be running (this indicates that the information was previously cached).
This usually clears up the issue.
Note: some users have reported that they needed to actually shut down their browser completely, and then restart it to clear up the issue, but this is not typically necessary.
If the issue persists, please contact Domino Support.
