In Domino <=3.6, the dispatcher page is one of the most useful tools for Domino admins. The dispatcher is the service that handles the lifecycle of user workloads in Domino -- assigning or provisioning a machine, tracking the job setup and status, monitoring the health of the job and the success of the job shutdown process. The dispatcher page in the UI gives you a window into what the dispatcher is doing and the status of all jobs on your Domino. Since the dispatcher is responsible for coordinating all of the runs on your Domino, a large Domino can have a lot on the dispatcher page in the UI. To access this page, type the base URL for your Domino deployment and add /dispatcher
, or go to the admin area of your Domino UI and click on Dispatcher
. Here are a few tips you can use in the toolbar at the bottom of the dispatcher page to more quickly find what you're looking for:
1) While troubleshooting disable the screen refresh.
2) Use the filtering, it will help clear the clutter and let you quickly find what you are looking for more effectively than searching via the browser. The field can sometimes be partially hidden behind the support button. That too has been corrected in our newer versions.
3) If you want to quickly find queued runs, for instance, just click on the queued runs in the toolbar.
