Can you help me collect Kubernetes logs?

You have asked me for logs from the backend, this is time-consuming. Can you make it easier?

I need to gather nucleus logs and heap dump - I need instructions for this.

I need the Domino logs to troubleshoot internally.

Resolution

Please find two scripts attached which collect and gather a number of logs and details, the gatherLogs.sh script will run the heap dump too. Place them in the same folder on a box that can run kubectl commands.

There will be a tar.gz file for logs and a folder in /tmp for heap dumps generated from these scripts. Please review or provide them via tickets to Domino for further review.

If the heap dump/java logs are not needed, comment out the last line of gatherLogs.sh to skip this step.

Warning:

The files generated by this script contain sensitive information, including customer data and infrastructure secrets. They must be handled accordingly.

Some of the pods may not be present if you have an older environment however these should be platform agnostic for Domino 4 and later.
